Frequently Asked Questions
Where do your tours go?
Our tours stick to the sidewalks and streets of Charleston. While we do not go inside any buildings or graveyards on tour, you will get up close and personal with some of the most beautiful–or haunting!–scenery and architecture in the world.
What if it rains?
Our tours are conducted rain or shine. However, we reserve the right to cancel tours due to severe and/or potentially hazardous inclement weather. If we must cancel your tour, you will be notified by both phone and email at least one hour prior to the tour start time.
What should I bring with me?
In the summertime, we highly recommend bringing sunscreen, water, and a hat. In the spring and fall, layered clothing that can be added/removed if necessary. While extremely cold winter weather is not common, a coat is often useful at that time of year. Regardless of the season, comfortable walking shoes are an absolute MUST!
what is your cancellation policy?
We will issue a 100% refund if you cancel at least 72 hours in advance and do not want to reschedule your tour. Cancellations received less than 72 hours in advance, but more than 24 hours in advance will result in an 80% refund. Cancellations less than 24 hours in advance are considered no-shows and are not refundable.
Are your tours family-friendly?
Absolutely! We pride ourselves on having something for everyone on our tours, whether you are 2 or 92! Please note, however, that the content of our Haunts and Haunts of Charleston tour may be scary for small children, so we leave this up to the discretion of the parents.
do you offer private tours?
Yes! If you are interested in a large group or private tour, please contact Shanon via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (864) 221-0566 for pricing and availability for private tours and corporate/large groups.
Are there restrooms on the tour?
Unfortunately we will not pass by any public restrooms on the tour. Public restrooms are available in the nearby open air Market, but be sure to allocate sufficient time to arrive at 141 Meeting Street on time for your tour!
Should I tip my guide?
Tips are not expected, but are certainly appreciated. If you feel you received stellar service from your guide, feel free to let them know at the end of the tour by leaving them a tip. The amount is completely up to your discretion.
